friday, 5-20-05, 11:30. return to Decent Pizza with OO and the Chin Man's entourage. he probably would like to call them groupies. groupies are volunteers. i suspect the only reason he has a following at all is because he is buying the pizza. folks in our office would volunteer to donate a body part for free food--one of your body parts, not theirs. this time we need a table for nine, even without floppy. floppy has announced his retirement from the active practice of law. he is heading south to the phosphate (not cola) mines of bartow, fla. he claims that he is going in with a private law firm and not into mining or orange picking. pick anyone, it won't be the active practice of law. i hope he gets rich. he better because he is going to have to escape the pits of central fla. at least two times a month. mainframe will be expecting visits and lavish tokens of affection to make up for his absence. you would think his being gone would be gift enough.... mainframe has a taste for bags by coach and jewels by tiffany. floppy is her blind spot in the taste department. on the chance that it might be true love, i've got her in the pool to be the next to quit. even if she doesn't break her lease before it ends in december.

pending the Chin Man's arrival, he has directed me to order two large pies for his crew. one with cheese only and one with cheese and sausage. i front the china-dude $25 for the feast and unbelieveably he coughs it up as soon as he comes through the door. thus, the asian gent contributes to the stereotype of inscrutability. the large pies are as big as manhole covers. his minions munch til they are full and Hugo takes the remainder to tide him over on his trip to the south american part of fla. as predicted in the prior blog, i order a vegan pizza with cheese, black olives and onions. it was more than decent. on my next visit, i will press the vegan definitional envelope and add pepperoni.....
